About me

Who will build your website

My name is Ondřej Kriška. I build websites and web applications in custom code. I work alone and deal with clients directly. No salesperson, no coordinator between us.

  1. Eighteen years at Toyota

    I worked at Toyota for eighteen years. I started as a logistics worker and progressed to senior specialist in the logistics project team. My role was to streamline logistics in coordination with assembly. During that time I programmed the TSM web application, which brought the company savings in the millions of CZK. I also introduced several other web applications into the Toyota environment. That is where I learned that software is done properly, or not at all. In manufacturing you cannot afford to have things fail.

  2. Why I moved to web development

    I enjoyed programming more than anything else. I could see how much time and money a good application could save. I decided to do it full-time and for companies that do not have their own developers. Today I build websites as a sole trader.

  3. How I work

    I am an experienced web developer. I write custom code from scratch. I do not build websites from page builders like WordPress, which are assembled from ready-made components by various authors and tend to break over time. The websites I deliver are maintenance-free. I do not use ready-made add-ons from third-party companies that need to be constantly updated and patched. That is the most common source of problems and downtime. I work alone. That means you speak directly with me from the first message through to launch. The code I write belongs to you. I can work for international clients. I speak and write Czech. I communicate in English in writing. German only in writing, with the help of translation.

  4. What I do not do

    I do not build the cheapest websites on the market. I do not promise how much your website will earn — that is not something I can influence. I only take on projects I can deliver properly. If I know I cannot help you at a reasonable price, I will say so upfront.
